What day of the week and time will my trash be picked up?
Click on the link below and search for your street under the headings Monday through Friday for the day of the week that your trash will be picked up.
Trash Collection Schedule
Progressive will pick up your trash between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. when school is in session. The hours may be changed to 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from June 1 to August 10.
Where do I place the trash can?
Your area may be serviced with automated trucks, which do have some special requirements. As such, we ask that the trash container be within two feet of the edge of the street or at the curb. Please place the recycle bin a couple of feet from the trash container. You will find that when the trucks pick up and return your container, the lid will be automatically closed. We believe this not only looks better than an open container, but it also ensures that your container does not fill with any rain water.
What if I have more trash than my garbage cart will hold?
Progressive wiil take up to three standard bags or additional containers of 30 - 33 gallon capacity and not exceeding 40 lbs in weight per bag/container.
Can I put bulky items out on the curb?
Progressive accepts bulk items not exceeding two cubic yards (3' x 3' x 6'). Please notify them in advance of your bulk item pick up at (512) 282-3508. They must be by the curb on trash day by 7 a.m. Bulk items include refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, or any other item containing CFCs that are properly tagged from a licensed refrigerant technician certifying that the freon has been removed; and stoves, water tanks, washing machines, mattresses and furniture. In addition, the MUD also offers a Clean-Up Day every 2nd Saturday of the month at 13905 Thermal Drive from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

What do I do if my trash can is broken?
Progressive furnishes the trash receptacles to put your trash in. If you find that your trash bin has been damaged, please contact their Customer Service at (512) 282-3508. They will order a new can for you and is usually delivered the next business day.
What holiday are observed by Progressive?
Progressive currently recognizes New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day as holidays. If your regular collection day is prior to a holiday; the solid waste will be collected as scheduled on the regular collection day prior to the holiday. When a regular collection day falls on a holiday, during the business week, then the collection will be moved to the next day. Holiday schedules are subject to approval by the MUD. Observance of holidays will not prevent Progressive from maintaining weekly schedules. Alternative schedules will be formulated and communicated in advance to the MUD. In all cases, 2 weeks prior to any holiday, approved holiday schedules along with procedures for missed holiday pick-ups will be published and advertised in the WORD newsletter, on all 3 marquees and the MUD’s webpage prior to the holiday observance.
